<h2><a name="Announcem" id="Announcem" shape="rect"></a>Announcements and Meetings </h2>
<p>21 June 2011: <a href="http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/2011/WD-UNDERSTANDING-WCAG20-20110621/" shape="rect">Understanding
    WCAG 2.0 Public Editors' Draft</a> and <a href="http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/2011/WD-WCAG20-TECHS-20110621/" shape="rect">WCAG
  2.0 Techniques Public Editors' Draft</a> published. Comments are due <strong>on
  or before 26 August 2011</strong>. These drafts are to collect
  public on changes since the 14 October 2010 Working Group Notes. <strong>The
  existing documents remain in place as W3C Notes</strong> while
  this separate draft update is under review and the WCAG Working Group addresses
  comments. Draft updates include addition of PDF and Silverlight techniques,
  and clarifications based on input from the public and translators. Start with
  the <a href="http://www.w3.org/WAI/WCAG20/comments/" shape="rect">online
  comment form</a> to submit comments.</p>

<p>WCAG 2.0  was published as a W3C Recommendation 11 December 2008. This document
  is accompanied by other support materials (updated 14 October 2010) produced

<p>The <a href="http://www.w3.org/WAI/ER/2011/eval/eval-tf" shape="rect">[DRAFT] <acronym title="Web Content Accessibility Guidelines">WCAG</acronym> 2.0
  Evaluation Methodology Task Force (Eval TF)</a> will develop an internationally
  harmonized methodology for evaluating the conformance of websites to WCAG 2.0,
  that supports different contexts, such as for self-assessment or third-party
  evaluation of small or larger websites.</p>
