<h2><a name="what" id="what">What I do at W3C</a></h2>

<p>I work for the <a href="/">World Wide Web Consortium</a> (W3C), the
"normalization" shop for the Web, based at MIT in the USA, ERCIM in Europe, and
Keio in Japan ; I am based at the French Riviera
site.<!-- (Visiting MIT during Fall 2006) --> I joined in January 1999 as
administrative assistant. I became W3C Europe administration manager in
December 2001. In February 2005, I became part of the W3C Communications team
for 50% of my time. Between August 2006 and January 2007, I relinquished the
duties of W3C Europe administration manager. In August 2007, I became a
full-time member of the W3C Communications team. I maintain a <a
href="Mission/admin_manager.html">description</a> of what I do.</p>

<p>Within the Communications team, I am in charge of the <a
href="/2002/ab/">Advisory Board</a> scribe duties and meeting planning, I track
and update <a href="/Press/Articles">W3C press clippings</a>, monitor the <a
href="/Consortium/Translation/">translations</a> and I am the contact person
for the <a href="/2005/02/TranslationPolicy.html">authorized translations</a>.
Also I am involved in community development and as such, I oversee the W3C
effort at Blogging and micro-blogging, and lead the Incubator Activity.</p>

<h2><a name="who" id="who">Who I am</a></h2>
<ul>
  <li><strong>&lt;</strong>general<strong>&gt;</strong> I live in Mougins. I
    was born in Cannes and grew up there, mostly.</li>
  <li><strong>&lt;</strong>studies<strong>&gt;</strong> 1992: passed
    'baccalauréat' A1 (foreign languages, philosophy and mathematics), 1993:
    did a two-year secretarial course (Brevet de Technicien Supérieur), 1995:
    studied (but failed the exams) a year at the Medical University in Nice,
    1996: spent a year in Edinburgh to learn English as a foreign language (sat
    and passed! the Oxford Higher (with credits), the Cambridge Advanced
    English and the Cambridge Proficient English).</li>
  <li><strong>&lt;</strong>previously<strong>&gt;</strong> 1992-1997: worked
    during school vacations as medical secretary. 1997: worked for a few months
    as clerk in a law office in Cannes. 1998: did a six-month replacement at
    INRIA as secretary to the Sinus project. 1999: was hired at W3C in Sophia
    Antipolis (15jan1999).</li>
