<p>This page summarizes disclosures by participants in W3C's <a
href="/2001/tag/">Technical Architecture Group (TAG)</a> about
intellectual property, as required by the
<a href="http://www.w3.org/2004/02/05-pp-transition#general">W3C
Patent Policy Transition Procedure</a>.
If this document is published as a W3C Recommendation, it is
expected that it will be published under the 24 January 2002 CPP
as amended by the
<a href="http://www.w3.org/2004/02/05-pp-transition#general">W3C Patent Policy
Transition Procedure</a>. </p>
<p><a href="http://www.w3.org">W3C</a> takes <strong>no</strong>
position regarding either:</p>
<ol>
<li>the validity or scope of any intellectual property right or
other rights that might be claimed to pertain to the implementation
or use of the technology, or</li>
<li>the extent to which any license under such rights might or
might not be available.</li>
</ol>
<p>For information about copyright of TAG publications, please
refer to the <a href="contributor">TAG contributor
policies</a>.</p>

TAG participants</a></h2>
<p>This section lists disclosures by TAG participants. Currently,

<h2><a id="third-party-disclosures"
name="third-party-disclosures">Third-party disclosures</a></h2>
<p>This section lists third-party disclosures related to work
produced by the TAG. Currently, there are no disclosures.</p>
<h2><a id="how-to-disclose" name="how-to-disclose">How to disclose
patent claims</a></h2>
<p><a
href="http://www.w3.org/2003/06/Process-20030618/comm.html#ipr">section
4.2</a> of the W3C Process Document explains:</p>
<blockquote>
<p>To disclose patent and IPR claims, individuals MUST send email to
patent-issues@w3.org, which is an archived mailing list readable by
Members and the Team. Individuals disclosing knowledge of IPR claims
SHOULD copy the Team Contact responsible for a particular technology
to ensure that the disclosure receives prompt
consideration. Individuals MAY also copy other recipients.</p>
</blockquote>
<p><strong>Note:</strong> As of May 2003, W3C has approved a new
patent policy. The TAG is expected to adopt the approved policy with
the rest of W3C when the policy becomes operational.</p>
