<h2><a id="TransportationDetails"
name="TransportationDetails"><strong>Transportation Details</strong></a></h2>

<p><a href="http://www.nice.aeroport.fr">Nice International Airport</a> is
the closest international airport to the meeting site. The Royal Hotel Casino
is located about 20 miles from the airport. The travel time between the
airport and the hotel (meeting site) will vary between 30 minutes to one hour
depending on traffic conditions. Taxi fares will range between 45-60
Euros.</p>

<p>Please Note: All events will take place at the hotel. There is a small
harbor village nearby and Cannes croisette is a 5 min cab ride.</p>

<p>You may want to check and update the <a
href="http://esw.w3.org/topic/MeetingTaxis">"MeetingTaxis" wiki</a> to
arrange common transportation with other participants.</p>

<h4>By car:</h4>

<p>If you are renting a car at the airport, please take the highway
<strong>A8</strong> to the West, in the direction of Cannes and Aix en
Provence. This is a toll road.</p>

<p>Pass both the Cannes and Cannes La Bocca exits, to Exit 40, Mandelieu La
Napoule. As you exit, you will take an obligatory right turn after ~100M, and
then, shortly thereafter, turn right again at the traffic signal. Continue on
that road until it ends at a T intersection. Turn Left. Now proceed to the
end of that road at a golf course, just after a small bridge over the river
La Siagne. Turn Right. Proceed with the golf course on your left. In ~100M,
when you see a road on your right and a road on the left going up, take the
road going up on the left for about 10 meters to a T. You will see the water
front here. Turn Right. The hotel is on your left: proceed about 50M, until
you can turn left into the entrance of the hotel.</p>

<h4>By <a href="http://www.ter-sncf.com/paca/default.htm">train</a>:</h4>

<p>If you are using the railways note that there is a train station
"Mandelieu La Napoule" but that not all trains stop there. The nearest train
station where all trains stop is "Cannes".</p>
<ul>
  <li>If you take an omnibus (TER (Transport Express Régional), they do stop
    at every station, including "Mandelieu La Napoule"), you have to walk (10
    minutes) in the direction of Mandelieu castle (should be right in front
    of station, or quite near) and then straight ahead down the hill, pass
    the harbor and onto the Royal Hotel Casino which is on the seaside.</li>
  <li>If you take a rapid train (they only stop in main stations), exit at
    "Cannes". From there you will find cabs.</li>
</ul>
