World Wide Web Foundation Launched

Sorry for the silence here, but the last week has been quite exciting and intense. I have been slightly busy with the World Wide Web Foundation launch. Steve Bratt has written a first blog post on the Web foundation blog (feed). There will be glitches, but we are fixing them one by one.

You can also follow the discussions on twitter and identi.ca.

Any questions related to the World Wide Web Foundation, have to be asked on the foundation site, and not here. The FAQ is a good starting point. We will return soon to our normal news and bits about W3C and its technologies.

It depends on what you call the World Wide Web. There was an initial project at the CERN in 1989. But there is a message from Tim Berners-Lee, on August 6, 1991 on alt.hypertext explaining the project.
