                              <p>The good people of <a href="http://webdirections.org/">Web Directions</a> have decided to organize an event in Tokyo, Japan on November 7-9, 2008. <a href="http://east08.webdirections.org/">Discover Web Directions East 2008</a>. I met a few times Satoshi Kikuchi, the local organizer, and John Allsopp these last few months. They are both passionate about their work, Web technologies. They are <strong>makers</strong> mastering the <a href="http://www.w3.org/QA/2007/08/craft-of-html">craft of the Web</a>.</p>

<p>At this conference you will discover <a href="http://meyerweb.com/">Eric Meyer</a>, <a href="http://www.veen.com/jeff/">Jeffrey Veen</a>, <a href="http://simplebits.com/">Dan Cederholm</a>, <a href="http://adactio.com/">Jeremy Keith</a>, <a href="http://www.andybudd.com/">Andy Budd</a> and… <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/8624599@N07/2084051058/">Doug Schepers</a> from W3C who should be talking about <del>banana</del> <ins>SVG and canvas</ins>.</p>

<p>If you are in Tokyo or traveling to Tokyo, don't miss it.</p>
